Adventure… Romance… Thriller… Multicultural Britain… The Mysterious East
Hannah Petersen, a well-known journalist based in a small Surrey village near Guildford, is being pursued through India by an unknown and terrifying adversary. She turns for help to Dr Ashok Rao, a major figure from her past, though they have not met before.
Together they set out to entrap Hannah’s pursuer, and to discover why he is intent on destroying her, a quest which requires detective work and soul-searching on both their parts. Their journey across the fantastic scenery, wildlife and sacred sites of India is dangerous and nail-biting.
Inevitably they fall in love – but each has a secret that creates a barrier between them, and which they must resolve before there is any chance of a future together. This involves more journeys – to the lush heat of Sri Lanka, Surrey in icy winter and the dreamy coast of Kerala.
